Our research group was created in 2002 as part of the Graduate Program in Computer Science of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, in southern Brazil. Its goal is to carry out leading-edge research and development on the area of Distributed Systems.
The group’s research efforts concentrate on architectural and functional aspects of distributed systems, including network operating systems security, reliability and security of mobile computer systems, middleware, mobility support and techniques based on the object-oriented approach to build reliable distributed systems. The results of such research have been published in the main related scientific events in Brazil and around the world. Additionally, the group offers several extension and specialization courses to students and professionals in computing.
