• 1988-1990: MSc. in Electrical Engineering (Industrial Automation), UFSC, Brazil.
• 1990-1994: PhD. in Computer Science, IRISA/INRIA, France.
• 1994-1998: Associate professor at the Industrial Automation Department, UFSC Brazil.
• 1998-…: Full professor at the Graduate Program in Computer Science at PUCPR, Curitiba Brazil.
• 2007-2008: Invited Professor at IRISA/INRIA - Université de Rennes I, France.
• 2009-2010: Sabbatical stay at the SPDP Lab of the Università degli Studi di Milano at Crema, Italy.

Current Brazilian representative in the IFIP TC-11 (Security TC).
Member of the Brazilian Computer Society.
Member of the Association for Computer Machinery.

Research interests: security and resource management in operating systems and distributed systems.
