The research group on Disitributed Systems was created in 2002 as part of the Graduate Program in Computer Science of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, in southern Brazil. Its goal is to carry out leading-edge research and development on the area of distributed systems and algorithms.
The group's research efforts concentrate on architectural and functional aspects of distributed systems, including network operating systems security, reliability and security of mobile computer systems, middleware, mobility support and autonomic message delivering systems. The results obtained have been published in the main related scientific channels world-wide. Additionally, the group offers several extension and specialization courses to students and professionals in Computer Science.
